Dear Brad -
Dear Brad:
Hello Friend. Wanted to let you know I am way pumped about your concert tonight. Hope you sing your little heart out. I know you won't disappoint. Thanks for having great intro bands. Wanted you to know, I am wearing my first pair of real cowboy boots to the concert - just FYI. Tell Kimberly, Huck and the expected baby hello for me.
Your Friend,
Erin Mills.
P.S. - If you are looking for a backup singer or dancer, I am your gal!

Babies, Babies, Everywhere!
I hear the old saying, "There must be something in the water," all the time. I always dismiss it, and always huff a little - HOWEVER, there MUST be something in the water.
I have many people dear to me expecting children, and I couldn't be happier for each one. I am so excited because:
A) it is not me expecting!
B) I love having people close to me who don't mind if I touch their belly (well, don't mind as much as a stranger would mind) and
C) that there are new babies I get to hold.
CONGRATS TO EACH OF YOU.

I find myself thinking....
...Hooray it is Monday.
This weekend was eventful. I say that very monotone.
Friday was full of family. I went to work, followed by a great lunch with a new friend. After lunch, I had a visit with my sister at her shop and for the first time since 2008, I saw my parents. I can’t remember the last time I went two weeks without seeing my parents. My parents joined Cullen and I for a double date Friday evening. We went to Firehouse Subs. ( I give that place an A+!) After a light dinner, we found ourselves at the movie theater four rows from the screen. We arrived to see Gran Torino 40 minutes before it started. How did we get seats so close to the screen. It was THAT full. The movie was fantastic. It was heavy, dramatic, yet funny. I was not expecting funny. It was a guy movie. It was a bit mouthy, but, good. Overall rating: A-. Click here to watch a preview.
Saturday, we had dog problems. Here is the Weekend Recap!
Saturday evening, we joined the Mills parents and the Stafford parents at a fancy new restaurant in Georgetown called Silver and Stone. Dinner was lovely. Conversation and company was excellent. All six of us came back to our house after dinner and played the wii. Cullen’s dad, who was a wii-virgin stomped us at wii bowling. Beginner’s Luck!
Sunday was mainly spent at the doctor’s office with the puppies. Stinkers. I finished Brodie and Millie’s blog with this statement: This weekend has caused me to really rethink Motherhood.
Oh Happy Day! Today was filled with merriment. I look forward to tomorrow already. For now, I’m off to the gym!

A delightful Thursday
After an uneventful day at work, I decided to workout (5th day in a row). I came home to find dinner ready (fantastic beef fajitas, made with love AND taste). Upon finishing dinner I gave Cullen a kiss and told him the bitter truth... I had a date with someone tonight; someone other than my husband. A had a date with a doctor. In fact, many doctors.

APPETIZER
Appetizer: a food or a drink that stimulates the appetite and is usually served before a meal (date 1820)
So last night, Erin and I met my old roommate from college, Phillip, at the Loading Dock in Georgetown to have some drinks and watch the Fiesta Bowl (what a good game it turned out to be). We showed up right around kickoff and ordered a few adult beverages (I had one of my favorites, Sam Adam's Winter Brew, a toasty/dark beer). Erin then proceeded to order some fried pickles, which was listed in the menu as an appetizer. Shortly thereafter, we got our drinks and started watching the game. About 15 minutes later, we got our second round of drinks but still no fried pickles. Erin, being a former server, was beginning to become a little impatient. At any rate, the server then brought our meals, still no fried pickles. We informed our server that we never received our fried pickles and here comes stupid quote #1, "Oh, you didn't get them?" My immediate thoughts were, "Are they on the table?", "Did you bring them to us?". The answer is obviously no. Our woman genius server then runs to the back, grabs some hot fried pickles, and then hurries them to our table. We continued on our way to eat our food, drink our drinks, and watch the game. As half time approached, we asked for our bill assuming the fried pickles would be taken care of. Bad assumption. We were charged for the appetizer that came with our meal. When the server came to get our bill, Phillip asks the lady, "Should we get charged for the fried pickles?" Insert stupid quote #2, "Well, they're still $4.99 whether you get them with your meal or before you meal." Huh? Did she just say what I thought she did? She then runs our bill to the back, attempting to split the bill. To no avail, she put Erin and I's bill on Phillip's card and vice versa. After fixing the debacle, Phillip then asks the server, "Aren't appetizers supposed to come before your meal?". Insert retard quote #3, "Well, some people like their fried pickles with their meal. And either way, their still the same price." The lady just didn't get it. I guess we somehow missed something. Since 1820 (referring to the definition above), an appetizer has been defined as something that comes before your meal. Her only saving grace, if there really is any, is the one minute clause in the definition, the word usually. Still, the woman was a complete moron, incapable of understanding the fact that we wanted our fried pickles before our meal.

More Bush?
If you know anything about me; if you have met me even once, you know that I am conservative in my views, and a huge supporter/fan of our President, Mr. George Bush. However, with everything I just said, I am not completely crazy. I awcknowledge that President Bush was dealt a bad hand and having a new set of eyes on our Country may be what we need.
I was reading FoxNews this morning... (yes, this does confirm that I am very conservative). This morning headlines read: Jeb Bush for President. Pardon? Quoting myself from earlier, I am "a huge supporter/fan of our President, Mr. George Bush" BUT NO MORE BUSHES. Let's just let it finish where it is. I think the old saying goes... Let's quit while were ahead. The only difference is, we're not ahead. Here is a transcript of the article from FoxNews.

Happy 29th Anniversary
Dear Parents -
Happy Anniversary! Happy 29th Anniversary! What an impressive 29 years at that. You have raised three wonderful children (I know...the middle one is your favorite) who respect you and constantly learn by the example you lead. In your 29 years, you have set the bar high. I love you both. Thank you for showing us how to live well, be well, share well, and most importantly - love well.
I am the person I am today because of the standards you set, the spiritual guidance you provide, the love you show us, and let's not forget, the never-ending education bill you pay semi annually. :)
I love you both so much, and pray everyday that I can live life as fantastically as you do. I look forward to saying Happy 29th Anniversary to Cullen; and when that day comes - I can't wait to share with you how happy and successful our 29 years of marriage have been because of example we follow.
Cheers, here is to 29 more!!

Here are some pictures from last night's celebrations:
Just as the night was beginning, we got a "before" picture. This picture sure does make Cullen seem like a giant... Or, maybe he is a giant and I am in denial!
At Lucky Lounge. We got a reserved area, and stayed there all night! Lucky us!
Towards the end of the night.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
