Christmas In Pictures -

The Christmas holidays for our family have been so fun; Full of events - but fun!! We started our Christmases with ours on Tuesday. Christmas Eve was spent with my paternal extended family. We woke up on Christmas morning at my parents house and drove up to Belton to spend Christmas evening at the Mills' house. Phew!... There is still more celebrating to come. Here is our Christmas in photos:

Millie and Brodie each got waaay too many bones and treats. Millie even got a shirt with penguins.

Cullen and I decided we would do OUR Christmas on Tuesday night. After the doggies opened their stockings, Cullen and I opened ours. This Cullen with his over sized stocking! Inside his overstuffed stocking was a new putter and a new cell phone. :)

Part of Cullen's and my Christmas traditions are to swap letters to each other. It is an excellent way to recap the entire year - surrounded by the gross love stuff!

Cullen gave me new Cowboy books, and Brad Paisley and Darius Rucker CDs. Tucked inside my Brad Paisley CD was...TWO TICKETS TO HIS CONCERT IN JANUARY!!!!!!!!!!!!

After Cullen and I had our Christmas, my bestest BESTEST friend in the whole world came to see me. We invited over Adam and Ashley, Sarah and Russell. Pictured above is Adam and Kelly.

This is a picture of Adam and Ashley - the most recent engaged! I couldn't be happier for you two!

Sarah and Russell (pictured above) always provide laughs. Sarah just graduated from Law School at Texas Tech University! (Congratulations, again!)

Christmas Eve, we always drive out to Uhland, Texas for a Christmas gathering with my Paternal family.

I would love to have a cute story for this picture. We asked Hayden, our nephew to take a picture with us. He is three and says yes to almost anything. HOWEVER, right as he hopped on our laps, he tooted...look at that face - as if is really working at it. Stinker.

And this is my baby brother. He is a pain most of the time, but I sure do love him. Make no mistake, as this picture is deceiving. He is significantly taller than me... at least a foot.

There are many more festivities over the holidays. Those pictures will come soon!! Merry Christmas to all!

A Mills Family Christmas

Merriest Christmas!! This last weekend, The Mills' family kicked off the festivities with Christmas at Billy and Carol's house, in Belton. Last year, a new tradition was born. While not new to many families, we decided everyone older than 13 will participate in a Chinese Christmas. We had so much fun that we decided that this will now be the Christmas to-do.
Above is a picture of the Mills' strategizing on gifts!

This is my wonerful husband and I celebrating our SECOND married Christmas together. Cheers!

This Christmas Courtney and Natalie (and my nephew-dog, Rebel) had some very exciting news to share. Natalie is a Doctor and found out she will be doing her residency in SAN ANTONIO!!!! YAY, for staying in Texas. YAY for being close!! I couldn't be happier that we get to stay closer to each other!!!

How can you resist??

This weekend, Cullen and I were loving on our babies. .I captured a few precious moments -

They were barking at the dogs on Animal Planet.

And while some may think this is odd...my dog watches TV all the time.

Goin to the Chapel...

...And we're gonna get married!

This past Friday, I was able to be a part of a very special day. My friend Tyler graduated from Texas A&M University. Around 12:30, we joined the new college graduate for a lunch in his honor – that little stinker turned the tables on one very lucky lady. Let me set the scene for you… (enter dream sequence music).

After lunch, friends and family were sitting around their tables catching up from the last visit and talking about upcoming Christmas plans. Tyler’s mom asks Tyler to cut the cake, and cake is served. I found Tyler and asked if I could get him a piece of cake; to which he responds, "I can’t wait. I just have to do this now."

Tyler goes on stage, turns off the projector (which is continuously running pictures of his life), turns on Crystal Eyes, a song significant to the couple. He thanks everyone for joining him for such a special day and with a veeeery shaky finger, points directly at Terra and requests her to join him for a dance on stage. Because everyone in the room knows just what is about to happen, at least half the room erupts in tears, some controlled, others – out of control. J When the song ends, Tyler twirls Terra and finishes the song on one knee, proposing the question, "Will you marry me?" [More waterworks from the audience]

It was one of the sweetest proposals to watch and be a part of. We spent the next hour congratulating the newly engaged couple, and sharing stories with Terra about all the behind-the-scenes work Tyler and his accomplices have done to make this day special.

Congratulations to the wonderful, newly engaged, soon-to-be James’ Family! Love you both!

What's in my iPod?

My friend, Mariko posted this blog, answering questions specifically by the song playing on my iPod.

Here are the rules:
1. Put your iTunes on shuffle (or windows media player). 2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer. 3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS! 4. Make a fun/silly/witty comment on your answer.

1.What is your motto? Days of Thunder - Brooks and Dunn. Well, I do love singing in the rain.

2.What do your friends think of you? You belong to me - Patsy Cline. Apparently, I am possessive.

3.What do you think about very often? Grown-up Christmas List - Various Artist. I have outgrown my young, awkward years.

4. What is 2+2? No Scrubs - TLC. I never claimed to be good at math.

5.What do you think of your best friend? Fever - Beyonce. Sometimes we laugh so hard, I think I am getting a fever.

6.What do you think of the person you like? Waiting on the world to change - John Mayer. I think what Mr. Mayer meant was, Together, we can change the world.

7. What is your life story? Baby Can I Hold You? - Tracy Chapman. Boy, I sure do love cuddling.

8.What do you want to be when you grow up? She Thinks His Name was John - Reba McEntire. Two things - this song is about having AIDS. I do not want AIDS. and Two, if it was talking about a sex change - I am happy being a woman.

9.What do you think when you see the person you like? You'll be in my heart - Phil Collins. Dead on.

10.What do your parents think of you? Me and Charlie - Miranda Lambert. My mom does claim she forgets things. Well... at least the first letter of my partner's name is correct. Close enough.

11.What did you dance to at your wedding? Introduction by Elvis - Elvis Presley. Thank you Elvis. "Elvis has entered the wedding."

12. What will they play at your funeral? Cuz I can - Pink. And I did...

13. What is your hobby/interest? Crank Dad Soulja Boy - Soulja Boy. Fitting. I do love dancing - especially choreographed line dancing.

14. What is your biggest secret? Separate Lives - Phi Collins. Oops - I've been caught.

15. What do you think of your friends? The Memory of Trees - Enya. Trees live for hundreds of years - precisely how long I think my friends should live.

16. What's the worst thing that could happen? For My Broken Heart - Reba McEntire. True.

17.How will you die? Irresponsible - Splender. I hate when I am irresponsible. Mom always said - Make good choices.

18. What makes you laugh? Drowning - Hootie and the Blowfish. I have a warped sense of humor.

19.What makes you cry? Kissing a fool - Michael Buble. (See #17.) Nice example of irresponsibility.

20. Will you ever get married? Save me - Queen. Cullen saved me.

21. What scares you the most? Onda - Los Lonely Boys. Spanish words scare me.

22. Does anyone like you? Orinoco Flow - Enya. Well, hello Mr. Flow. Nice to meet you.

23. If you could go back in time, what would you change? Clarity - John Mayer. I have glasses now. Those might have helped.

24. What hurts right now? Lay Down Sally - Eric Clapton. Poor poor Sally. Get well soon.

25. Now for the title of this blog entry - Right Through You - Alanis Morissette. From me, right through you.

26. Lastly, what is the one thing you regret? It's now or nerver - Elvis Presely. I really hate that I give so many ultimatums.

Millie Girl -

As many of you know, my puppies are one of my most favorite parts of life. I sometimes don't know what to do with myself when they aren't sitting with me at home or if they don't want to play. Two days ago, we noticed Millie was limping [just a little]. After a small look-over, I noticed her pinky toenail had come off her toe!! Poor baby. Yesterday she wasn't putting any weight on her paw at all. she was hobbling around on three legs.

...Well, she is either a VERY SMART DOG, or she is in a terrible amount of pain because the minute I gave her attention, she milked it for all it was worth. She would lay on the couch sprawled out across pillows, wince if we would look at her and if we sat next to her, she would crawl into our laps. While it was really cute - what a diva. (she gets that from Cullen, I swear! ;)
This is a picture I took last night...What a drama queen!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I hate that stores exploit Christmas and the holiday season...starting in October - before Halloween. However, I have been working on a huge project at work which kicked off my holiday season. After a successful Christmas party this weekend, Cullen and I hung Christmas lights on the house, put up our tree, went Christmas gift shopping and wrapped gifts. Hooray, it IS beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
